Established in 1935 by J. A. Ward and J. W. Wilson, Ward Wilson Funeral Home has taken pride in serving the families of Dothan and the surrounding area ever since. Located in the area where Justice Park now stands, the building that Ward Wilson Funeral Home began in was known as the Crawford Home. Over the years the Ward Wilson family extended out to include Memory Hill Cemetery as well as Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Headland, Alabama. In 1955, Ward Wilson Funeral Home relocated to Woodland Drive, which at the time was the Main Street of Dothan and the location of Dothan's first subdivision. Since 2004, Ward Wilson Funeral Home’s tradition of caring and excellence has been continued by its current owners, Michael and Renee Duncan.
The Duncan family has made its own unique impression upon Ward Wilson, while keeping the benefits of a family owned business and bringing the families we serve the highest level of satisfaction. The most recent contribution they have given to the families of Dothan is the new Ward Wilson Memory Hill facility. The new facility includes services never before offered at Ward Wilson, including an on-sight crematory and chapel seating for over three hundred.
